Pets to Go provides low-cost spaying and neutering services to new owners adopting our rescue cats and dogs, plus to those in our community who otherwise could not afford the procedures.
Spaying is removing the ovaries and uterus of a female dog or cat.
Neutering is removing the testicles of a male dog or cat.
Spaying and neutering provide many benefits, including:
- Helping pets live longer, healthier lives
- Making them less likely to run away or start fights
- Curbing undesirable behaviors such as spraying
- Reducing pet overpopulation
Both spaying and neutering are one-day processes arranged by appointment. Your pet must be at least 3 months old and weigh at least three pounds. If your pet has not already had rabies shot, Pets to Go will administer the shot on the date of the procedure.
